Our thanks go to Min Inches who gave us the chance to have our first Hovawart, Minches Jason (aka Sky) who has completely changed our lives. He joined our retired guide dog Velvet (then 12 years old) and gave her back her youth. It was so lovely to see her gambolling about in the garden in a way we had never seen in the year and a half that we had owned her. Tyehelva Super Summer (aka Drift) joined us 8 months later and soon had the upper hand of both of them - although she is ever respectful of Velvet’s age she is a little forgetful on the odd occasion and sends her bowling over in her exuberance of life.
Drift and Pines Saxophone at Hightimbers(aka DJ) produced a litter of nine healthy puppies (2 girls and 7 boys) in January 2009. All have gone to their new homes (except Driftingsky Mist who we kept) where they settled in well with their new families.
